Transportation of Segamat

Segamat is well-linked by both federal and state road networks. The Federal Route  is the main north-south trunk road, which is connected to the main national expressway, the North-South Expressway (southern route), via EXIT 227 (Simpang Ampat Interchange) and EXIT 243 (Yong Peng South Interchange); both exits are located outside from the Segamat District.

The Federal Route links Segamat with the southwestern towns and cities such as Tangkak, Malacca City, Muar and Batu Pahat. It is also linked to the North-South Expressway Southern Route via EXIT 235 Tangkak Interchange. Meanwhile, the Tun Razak Highway route links Segamat with Kuantan and the east-coastal states.

Besides the road network system, Segamat District is also served by the national railway system at Segamat and Labis train stations.
